The spring plant and bake sale takes place May 5, 2012.
Sale begins at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Trethewey House Heritage Site, 2313 Ware St. Sales run until 1 p.m. or until plants are gone, whichever comes first.
For the public, sales provide a wide selection of member-grown plants at approximately half the usual retail price.
For members, sales generate most of the funds for speakers, field trips, the Annie Dunkerly bursary, and maintenance of the Sylvia Pincott Heritage Habitat Garden. Sales also provide a day out in the fresh air, an opportunity to share a wealth of experience with the gardening public, and an opportunity to visit with fellow gardeners.
