Sylvia Pincott Heritage Habitat Garden
To commemorate our fiftieth anniversary in 2000, we constructed a
heritage habitat garden, designed by Nancy Moore, at the Trethewey House Heritage Site,
home of the lovely old residence that houses the M.S.A. Museum Society.
The garden is named in honour of Sylvia Pincott, who founded the backyard habitat program in Abbotsford and who was instrumental in establishing the provincial Naturescape program.
We maintain this and other gardens on the site. Trethewey House work
parties, held the fourth Wednesday and the fourth Saturday of every month at 9 a.m., provide an opportunity for socializing and hands-on
learning.
